Winter is here, and we’re getting into the routine of bundling up to face the cold and snowy weather. Whether it’s warming up from the cold inside or sitting around a fire with your friends, a hot chocolate is the perfect fix to get cozy and warm. To keep you toasty this winter season, we bring you our Boozy Hot Chocolate done THREE ways; Salty Maple, Twisted Mint, and Dirty Orange. These recipes easily come together in less than 10 minutes, are equally as tasty as the next, and have a fun adult kick.
The hot chocolate base (san alcohol) is made with cocoa powder and chocolate, satisfying all those chocolate cravings. Adding chocolate in addition to the cocoa powder adds a rich and deep chocolatey flavour to the drink. The delicious base is perfectly sweetened and well balanced with its other flavours of vanilla and spices. This hot chocolate is smooth, decadent, and satisfying as is, but if you’re looking for a way to booze it up, we got you.
Salty Maple is the perfect sweet and salty contrast! Spiked with both bourbon and Maple Syrup Barrel Age Rum for double the trouble, this version is a dream for any sweet and salty lover. The Twisted Mint is the ultimate winter treat, serving candy cane vibes all around. You will find yourself craving the subtle peppermint flare that is so reminiscent of the holidays all year around. Last, but certainly not least, we bring you Dirty Orange to ad a hint of zest and bring your hot choco to life! It transforms classic hot chocolate into a levelled up bevvy with both coffee and orange flavours, both known for being ideal chocolate pairings.
